I run two inverters. One big 6kW MUST EP3000 low frequency inverter for summer, and a smaller 3kVA Victron Multiplus II for winter. The reason is that the big 6kW inverter has a higher self consumption (around 75W) compared to the 11W for the Multiplus II. I only need the 6kW in Spring and Summer anyway for processing wood with the electric chain saw and wood splitter among other bigger electric tools. In winter I don’t need that amount of power, and the Multiplus does just fine while sipping power.

The MUST inverter isn’t so easy to get these days. You can try getting them from Alibaba, but they might not ship single units anymore. In case you are interested in giving it a go: https://offer.alibaba.com/cps/f4jdbq3f?bm=cps&src=saf&productId=1600690399288

If I were to try a Chinese low frequency inverter today, I’d most likely try to get an RP 6000 from Shenzhen Sunray Power. I have a suspicion that this could be the OEM for the MUST EP 3000 inverter.

My code to talk to the EP3000 can be found here: https://github.com/PurpleAlien/must-power_grafana

The Victron Multiplus II should be easily available where you live. They recently dropped prices as well, so it’s much more affordable now than when I bought it. For example, here in Finland: https://www.suomenakut.fi/aurinkoenergia/victron-multiplus-ii-48v-3000va-35a-lataus-ohitusrele-32a/p/8719076047582/

You can find my code for the Victron Multiplus II here: https://github.com/PurpleAlien/victron-multiplus_grafana Remember you also need the MK3-USB interface.
